Kitchen and Family Room - This was an add-on to a small cape. The family found themselves always in their small kitchen and wanted a larger, more "warm" gathering place. So we kept the ceiling cathedral, put in a very open and workable kitchen, added a giant granite center chimney with Rumford fireplace and working wood fired brick oven, then topped it all off with very comfortable and efficient radiant floor heating under the tiles.
Porch Addition: This customer wanted a bright and sunny area where they could eat breakfast and read the paper during all 4 seasons. Simple, we added right on to the existing house! Plenty of light gets in while the new Andersen windows and doors keep it energy efficient. Accented by a cottage/beaded board ceiliing, beautiful fir hardwood flooring and a simple 15 light French entry door, the porch performs a good as it looks.
